MTN 5G
MTN demonstrated 5G in Nigeria from November 2019 to 2020, and some of the value plans, such as the 20,000 Naira plan, were increased from 110GB to 120GB, which looks amazing for a 5G network. In addition, the operator has included free 4GB YouTube Night Video streaming in several of its monthly plans.
MTN will debut its commercial 5G network in Nigeria in August 2022, with service beginning in six cities: Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Kano, Owerri, and Maiduguri. The firm has also launched 5G service in Awka, Warri, Benin City, Ife, Ifo, and Enugu.

4G MTN Devices
MTN’s 3.5G FastLink USB modem costs roughly N5,000 and is also 3G/EDGE/GPRS compatible. The MTN website advertises 6 months of free data, but we cannot check the restrictions.
MTN also provides a portable Wi-Fi router that allows you to share your internet connection with up to five Wi-Fi devices within a 10m radius. MTN 1.5GB Data Plan
MTN 1.5GB Data Plan (Formerly 100MB, 200MB, 260MB, 1GB): For N1,000, this MTN data plan provides 24/7 internet access for 30 days. The browsing bundle has a data restriction of 1.5GB.
The 1.5GB MTN data package is ideal for surfing on your mobile phone.
Even if you are using a mobile phone with this Plan, it is a good idea to download and use the Opera Mini/mobile browser or a comparable cloud-based data compression browser like the UC Browser or UC Mini.
SMS 106 to 312 to upgrade to the 1.5GB internet surfing package. This package may also be used on your laptop or desktop computer, but anticipate it to last no longer than a week unless you have a sluggish network or just surf sporadically.

40GB MTN Data Plan
The 40GB Data Plan is another exciting package from MTN. This MTN plan is the best if used with a wireless router to build a hotspot in your home or office.
With the hotspot you can connect multiple devices smartphones, laptops, desktop, set top boxes, etc. You get 24/7 (always on) Internet access for a 30-day period at a price of 10,000 NGN.
The MTN Data Plan is limited to 40GB (formally 22GB, then 25GB) per month. To migrate to this 30-day bundle SMS 117 to 312.

200GB MTN Data Plan
This latest addition is a great data package if you stream or download a lot of multimedia content. It is also a great plan for businesses, especially in an office setting. With router staff can connect via Wi-Fi.
You get 200GB for 30,000 Naira (valid for 30 days) and with data rollover support, you don’t have to worry about using all of the data within 30 days because your remaining data will be added to your new subscription once you renew your subscription, whether you choose the same plan or not.
This is a good package if your 75GB or 120GB are not meeting your monthly data requirement.
24 hour MTN Data Plan
24 hours browsing bundle: MTN offers a daily internet data plan. This internet browsing bundle allows subscribers to pay daily for 150MB bulk internet access.
You pay for this service any day you want to browse the internet. Just pay N350 any day you want to browse and you will get 24 hours internet browsing access from MTN limited to 1GB data.
The 24 hours package, will appeal to customers who currently spend a couple of hours a week browsing internet in cyber cafes, especially if they already have a computer at home/office.
This is a very good plan, it is cheap and convenient however you may find it wanting if you want 24/7 access. This internet service is available to MTN prepaid users only.
